Wesley Rogers, Owner/Operator

Moultrie
Wesley Rogers is a relational and growth-minded leader who believes leadership is about more than running a successful business, it’s about developing people and helping them navigate life well. Originally from Dublin, Georgia, Wesley studied psychology and organizational behavior before discovering that his passion was not traditional counseling, but coaching and leading people through real-life growth opportunities. Before Chick-fil-A, Wesley had an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, even flipping cars as a side business. He also developed a love for hospitality and serving others through food, something that still shows up today as he regularly hosts friends and cooks meals for groups of 20–30 people at a time. His leadership style is grounded in consistency, patience, and care for people. Team members know they can count on him to protect them, coach them, and create an environment where both work and family matter. Wesley is especially passionate about teaching conflict resolution, emotional maturity, and communication skills that help people succeed far beyond the restaurant walls.

Chick-fil-A Story

Wesley began his Chick-fil-A journey in late 2009 at Chick-fil-A Valdosta Mall while completing graduate studies in organizational behavior and industrial psychology. What started as an internship opportunity quickly became a calling.

After serving in management for about a year, Wesley entered the Interim Manager program in 2011 and completed the program in just nine months. Shortly after, he was selected as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Valdosta Mall—the same restaurant where he first started and helped hire much of the original team.

In 2016, Wesley was selected to lead Chick-fil-A Moultrie, where he has spent nearly a decade building a high-performing culture rooted in trust, consistency, and leadership development.

Under his leadership, the restaurant has experienced remarkable growth, increasing annual sales from approximately $2 million to nearly $9 million. He has also built an unusually tenured leadership team for the restaurant industry, with many directors and l.eaders remaining with the restaurant for 5–10+ years.

Wesley has earned multiple Symbol of Success awards, sales milestone recognitions, and was selected to serve as an Operator Consultant.

Vision and Values

At Chick-fil-A Moultrie, Wesley leads with a simple but powerful vision: “Where the Moment Matters.”

That vision shapes every interaction inside the restaurant, from guest experiences to team development. Wesley believes every person who walks through the doors should feel valued, respected, and cared for.

Operating in a small rural community has also shaped his leadership philosophy. Wesley understands that in Moultrie, the Operator’s personal reputation and involvement matter just as much as the restaurant brand itself. Because of that, he has intentionally invested in both the restaurant and the community around it.

The restaurant has partnered closely with local schools and leadership initiatives, including involvement with leadership academies and community boards. Wesley is passionate about developing strong people and creating a culture where conflict is handled with maturity, accountability, and grace.

One thing that consistently sets the restaurant apart is its culture of stability and healthy relationships. Wesley emphasizes private coaching conversations, respectful communication, and teaching team members how to work through disagreements in productive ways—creating an environment with strong team retention and long-term leadership growth.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE CHICK-FIL-A A CAREER OR BECOME AN OWNER/OPERATOR?
“I always tell people the odds are challenging, but if you want to go down that path, I’ll do whatever I can to help. Becoming an Operator isn’t just the next job—it’s asking for the responsibility of leading people, owning a business, and stewarding something bigger than yourself. And the moment you start treating it like a race, you’re already losing the race.”
