Chick-fil-A Story
Beth started her career in marketing and promotions at Chiquita Brands transitioning in 1996 to the Willow Creek Association, a non-profit ministry committed to helping the local church around the world prevail. After many years leading the Marketing team, Beth oversaw National Partnerships and The Global Leadership Summit at over 200 locations around the nation. In January of 2012, WCA and seven other companies were invited by Chick-fil-A to a strategic meeting to discuss leadership tools/training for CFA Operators / High-Performance Leadership teams.
At that time, Mark Miller presented a compelling presentation on the history of Chick-fil-A and the company’s vision. Beth and other outside vendors were invited to attend a Chick-fil-A Seminar in February 2012. As a result of conversations with both corporate staff and hundreds of Operators, Beth felt prompted to begin the interview process for a store in the Chicagoland area. Beth and her husband have worked together at Willow for 21 years. Larry was the Executive Producer for The Global Leadership Summit, International. He has since transitioned into a consulting role, while he helped launch the Vernon Hills Chick-fil-A with Beth. The Vernon Vernon Hills Chick-fil-A serves as a retail hub for the surrounding affluent area and hopes to partner with schools, corporations, and churches to have a positive impact on the greater Lake County community.
