Brad Slate, Owner/Operator
HICKORY CREEK
Brad grew up in San Angelo, Texas, and began working for Chick-fil-A as a Team Member in high school. Shortly after graduating from Angelo State University, Brad moved to Southlake, Texas, to advance in his professional journey with Chick-fil-A under the leadership of Owner/Operator, Greg Kubala. With a commitment to excellence and serving those around him, Brad made great strides in expanding his entrepreneurial knowledge and steadily climbing until he became General Manager.
Brad and his wife Dee Ann welcomed a new baby girl and embraced change even further by relocating to Houston, Texas when Greg transitioned to an Owner/Operator position. Brad participated in various Grand Openings with Chick-fil-A Corporate and in 2004 was selected to be the Interim Manager in Irving, Texas, which led to him becoming the Owner/Operator that same year. In 2010, Brad, Dee Ann, and their two daughters moved to Corinth, Texas, where he became the Owner/Operator of the Kensington Square Chick-fil-A. Brad is currently the Owner/Operator of Hickory Creek Chick-fil-A which opened in October 2024.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE CHICK-FIL-A A CAREER OR BECOME AN OWNER/OPERATOR?
“Leading others starts with leading yourself well. Are you challenging yourself and seeking opportunities to grow? Struggles will come and you have to be ready to make hard decisions. Know who you are and keep yourself grounded.”
