Corey Hall, Owner/Operator

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Corey’s path has always been guided by a strong sense of purpose. From a young age, he felt called to serve—and that calling first led him to The Citadel in 2009, then to the United States Marine Corps, where he spent four years as a Logistics Officer at Camp Lejeune. As his military contract came to a close, Corey began to feel a new pull—one he couldn’t quite name at first. That pull eventually led him to Chick-fil-A. What began as curiosity became conviction: Corey saw an opportunity to channel his leadership, discipline, and heart for people into something lasting. He hasn’t looked back since. Corey and his wife Abby, married in 2018, are now raising two beautiful children—Millie, born in 2021, and Bowen, their newest addition.

Chick-fil-A Story

Corey started as an Assistant Manager at Chick-fil-A in Columbia, SC, under the supervision of Operator Joe Jeffcoat in 2018. During Corey’s interview for the job, he shared information about a family health situation that was ongoing. To Corey’s surprise, Joe spent the latter half of the interview asking Corey how he could be of assistance. Corey was deeply touched by Joe’s thoughtfulness and care, especially since they had just met. At that moment, Corey realized he wanted to build a long-term career with Chick-fil-A in some capacity. After learning about Chick-fil-A Inc.’s Leadership development program, Corey decided to pursue participation in the program. He successfully gained admission and began the program in January 2021. Subsequently, Corey was chosen to be the Owner/Operator of Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, VA, in September 2023 and officially assumed the role on December 1, 2023. Corey and his family are thrilled to become part of the Newport News community.
