Corey Hall, Owner/Operator
PATRICK HENRY MALL
Corey is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. From a young age, he knew he wanted to enlist in the military. In 2009, he attended The Citadel and graduated in 2013. Right after graduation, Corey received a contract with the United States Marine Corps, where he was stationed in Camp Lagune and served as a Logistics Officer for four years. Towards the end of his military contract, he felt like he was being called to leave the Marine Corps but did not know what for. Later on, Corey realized he was being called to pursue Chick-fil-A for a long-term career. Corey married his wife, Abby, in 2018, and they had their daughter, Millie, in 2021.

Chick-fil-A Story
Corey started as an Assistant Manager at Chick-fil-A in Columbia, SC, under the supervision of Operator Joe Jeffcoat in 2018. During Corey’s interview for the job, he shared information about a family health situation that was ongoing. To Corey’s surprise, Joe spent the latter half of the interview asking Corey how he could be of assistance. Corey was deeply touched by Joe’s thoughtfulness and care, especially since they had just met. At that moment, Corey realized he wanted to build a long-term career with Chick-fil-A in some capacity. After learning about Chick-fil-A Inc.’s Leadership development program, Corey decided to pursue participation in the program. He successfully gained admission and began the program in January 2021. Subsequently, Corey was chosen to be the Owner/Operator of Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, VA, in September 2023 and officially assumed the role on December 1, 2023. Corey and his family are thrilled to become part of the Newport News community.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE CHICK-FIL-A A CAREER OR BECOME AN OWNER/OPERATOR?
“What is your WHY? What is your purpose here on earth? If their WHY cannot be best executed by Chick-fil-A as their WHAT, they will really struggle and be unhappy. Their WHAT has to match their WHY”
