Corey began his Chick-fil-A journey in 2018 as an Assistant Manager in Columbia, South Carolina, under Owner/Operator Joe Jeffcoat. During his interview, Corey shared that his family was navigating an ongoing health situation with his father. Rather than focusing solely on the position he was trying to fill, Joe spent much of the conversation asking how he could support Corey and his family. That genuine care made a lasting impression and showed Corey the kind of people-first leadership that set Chick-fil-A apart.

That experience helped Corey realize he wanted to build a long-term career with Chick-fil-A. After learning about Chick-fil-A, Inc.’s Leadership Development Program, he pursued the opportunity and joined the program in January 2021.

In September 2023, Corey was selected as the Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, Virginia, officially stepping into the role on December 1, 2023. In April of 2026, Corey was selected as the Owner/Operator of the Christopher Newport location, marking an exciting next step in his Chick-fil-A journey. He and his family look forward to continuing to invest in and serve the Newport News community.
