Chick-fil-A Story
David’s journey with Chick-fil-A began in 1990, when he became a business intern for Chick-fil-A, eventually progressing to owning and operating his own store in 1992. He quickly realized that Chick-fil-A wasn’t just about running a business—but about building people and shaping a community. Over time, he established himself as a respected leader in Macon, Georgia, where he now owns and operates two successful locations; Chick-fil-A Tom Hill Sr Blvd and Chick-fil-A Bass Road.
David’s leadership and influence have led to strong, high-performing leaders and teams which even extend to family members. His son is currently in Chick-fil-A Corporate’s Leadership Development Program and his nephew is a successful Owner/Operator in Auburn, Alabama. David’s goal is to create a positive culture, emphasizing team development, customer service excellence, and community outreach.
Vision and Values
For David, running a Chick-fil-A is more than just business—it’s a mission. He is deeply invested in the growth of his team members, treating them not just as employees but as future leaders. The vision describing their team is “People passionately pursuing excellence by being our best, by doing our best, by giving our best”
David’s impact extends far beyond his restaurant walls:
- He mentors young leaders, providing guidance, career opportunities, and scholarships
- He actively participates in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
- Chick-fil-A Bass Road and Tom Hill Sr Blvd support local charities, schools, and events, ensuring that his business is a pillar of support and generosity in Macon
- Food Drive for Macon Rescue Mission, Gallons for Good, Cookies for a Cause supporting Children’s Hospital, Jay’s Hope, and Middle Georgia Community Food Bank
These two locations have a goal to organize three to four major charitable events per year as a market-wide effort, reinforcing his dedication to giving back. Through these efforts, David isn’t just operating a business—he is creating a lasting legacy of service and personal development in his community.
