Jordan Hancock, Owner/Operator
SUNSET MALL
Jordan Hancock and his wife, Jessica, are recent transplants to Texas, originally from the state of Georgia. They enjoy being on the lake and engaging in other outdoor activities, which makes San Angelo the perfect place to call home.
Jordan was been inspired to serve others with a different ‘degree of care’ if he ever owned his own business, understanding you never truly know what someone is walking through. With a passion to genuinely serve others, he makes every effort to find new relationships within and outside of Chick-fil-A to learn more about his ever-growing community.
When it comes to college football, Jordan is a huge Georgia Bulldog fan, and if he’s not working, you may find him at a local coffee shop in town.

Chick-fil-A Story
“I am so excited to be the new owner/operator of the Chick-fil-A inside of Sunset Mall. I started with Chick-fil-A in 2011 as a dishwasher during my senior year in high school. I spent 8 years working in various leadership positions with two different Operators before I joined the Chick-fil-A Inc. Leadership Development Program. I spent 31 months traveling around the country helping open new restaurants and transition existing restaurants before I was selected to become a franchise owner of this location in Sunset Mall. This has been a dream of mine for the last 10 years and I am stoked to get started.”
Vision and Values
“I am very passionate about helping people chase their dreams, whether inside or outside of Chick-fil-A, and will always do anything I can to help people achieve their goals.” -Jordan Hancock
Jordan has a mission of serving his guests, staff, and community, through a different degree of care in San Angelo, Texas. “From me to leaders, leaders to team, team to the community” This Sunset Mall location actively honors and supports its local community in a variety of ways.
Organizations and events such as: Young Life, Shannon Medical, Oncology Angel, Nurse Appreciation, Teacher Appreciation, and Good Fellow Appreciation to name a few. Sunset Mall’s mobile Chick-fil-A Catering unit has provided them with the unique opportunity to serve outside of the store at local football games, carnivals, Stock Show & Rodeo events, schools, and the Roping Fiesta.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE LOOKING TO BECOME A CHICK-FIL-A OWNER/OPERATOR?
“I believe being a Chick-fil-A operator is the best job out there if you truly feel called to it. It can give you the ability to have freedom and flexibility if you are willing to put in a lot of hard work. Becoming an operator is a journey that requires a lot of patience and trust, and is not something that will happen overnight if you are looking for a “quick career” change. Becoming an operator requires buy in from not just you, but from your family as well.
There is no other company I would rather partner with than Chick-fil-A Inc and the Cathy family but I wake up each day realizing the weight I now carry as an Operator. Our brand is successful due to the extremely high standards we are expected to hold up each day in our business.”
