Kolby Shepherd, Owner/Operator
SOUTH DACULA

Kolby Shephard is a husband, dad to three girls, and someone who leads with consistency, calm, and a clear sense of purpose. He and his wife, Anna, met working at WinShape, and service has been a part of their life ever since. After more than a decade away from family, they moved to Dacula, Georgia to raise their daughters near grandparents and build deeper community roots. Kolby’s known for being steady, thoughtful, and someone who sees potential in people—especially those others might miss.

Chick-fil-A Story
Kolby started at Chick-fil-A in 2013 and joined the Leadership Development Program in 2016. He opened Chick-fil-A Bainbridge in 2019, where he built a strong team and culture. Over nearly six years, the restaurant earned top honors like Symbol of Success and Champions Club, and ranked in the top 10% for retention across the chain.
Kolby focused on building a workplace that truly supported people. He offered team members tuition support through Point University with no minimum-hour requirement, prioritized competitive pay for leaders, and created a path for growth and ownership.
In 2025, Kolby is opening Chick-fil-A South Dacula—a dream location closer to family. He’s bringing a full leadership team, including several young leaders who moved to Dacula to help build the new store from day one.
Vision and Values
Kolby’s leadership vision is “to be the standard of excellence—pursuing mastery over perfection, and loving our neighbor as ourselves.” That shows up in how he leads: developing people, giving second chances, and building an environment where high standards and high care go hand in hand.
Outside the restaurant, Kolby has consistently stepped up in his community—from serving on the Flint River Fair Committee to mentoring through the FPCB Youth Leadership Program. In 2024, he was awarded the Chamber of Commerce’s Rising Star Award and now serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE CHICK-FIL-A A CAREER OR BECOME AN OWNER/OPERATOR?
“This opportunity is not a matter of skill, but a matter of resilience. How often do you get up when you fail?”
– Kolby Shepherd
