Michael grew up in Gwinnett County outside of Atlanta, Georgia, wanting to pursue a Pharmacist career. He went to Georgia State University where he played soccer and eventually transferred to the University of Georgia, graduating as a Bulldog in 2012.

While journeying through college, Michael began his career at Chick-fil-A as a Team Member, meeting his future bride, Becca. Though originally from the same small town, Michael and Becca reconnected working for the same Operator, having been married now for almost ten years. The Clarke’s have been investing in the Gainesville community for the last four years with their five children.

Chick-fil-A Story

Michael started as a Team Member with Chick-fil-A but was not quite an ideal team player. He worked hard but didn’t have a real “why” behind his work. His perspective and career trajectory changed when a coworker shared the gospel with him, whom he’s still friends with to this day.

After a few years with Chick-fil-A, Michael was selected for Corporate’s Leadership Development Program (LDP). He and his wife had their first child while in the 30-month season of traveling and learning the business through LDP. After about 6 months post-program, Michael was selected for Chick-fil-A Gainesville moving him and his family to the great state of Texas in 2019.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE CHICK-FIL-A A CAREER OR BECOME AN OWNER/OPERATOR?

I would want to understand the heart behind the why. I encourage those interested to know where the brand started and appreciate where it is going. This is the best thing that’s ever happened to me aside from getting married and having children!
