Mike’s Chick-fil-A journey began nearly 13 years ago—not as an Operator, but as an entry-level Team Member earning close to minimum wage. After initially applying to become an Operator and being declined without an interview, Mike chose a different route: learning the business from the ground up.
He started in the kitchen, worked front of house, and steadily grew through leadership roles across 13 Chick-fil-A restaurants, including multiple grand openings. Along the way, he faced rejection multiple times during the Operator selection process, but each “no” refined his leadership and strengthened his resolve.
Before becoming an Operator, Mike served as an Executive Director overseeing two restaurants. In March 2024, he officially became the Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Sulphur Springs. Today, he leads with gratitude, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the journey that shaped him.
The mission of Chick-fil-A Sulphur Springs is simple but powerful: “To make every day a holiday for someone.” Whether it’s a guest, a team member, or a fellow leader, Mike wants everyone who walks through the doors to feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for.
The restaurant’s core values, Excellent Stewardship and a Culture of Family, guide every decision. Mike believes culture doesn’t happen by accident; it’s built intentionally through consistency, accountability, and example-setting leadership.
Beyond the restaurant, the team actively partners with a local community connections program, welcoming individuals with special needs into the restaurant to serve alongside the team. Mike is also a strong advocate for food safety, guest experience, and leadership development—celebrating milestones like achieving Guardian of the Brand recognition as a reflection of disciplined, values-driven operations.
