Steven started at Chick-fil-A as a shy high schooler referred by his friend. Owner/Operator, Curt Flournoy, took a chance on him as a Kitchen Crew Member. After winning Symbol of Success in 2007, Curt moved away and Pat Braski became the new owner of the Galleria Mall location.
Pat’s influence and mentorship helped inspire Steven to pursue leadership opportunities within the company and eventually ownership. He remembers the moment when everything clicked for him, “I discovered that Chick-fil-A combined my love for business, culture, and leadership and that the Operator route would provide a good quality of life, quality business, and fun for a family of my own one day.”
Steven met his wife, Jordan, through Chick-fil-A and they worked their way through college at Middle Georgia State University. He continued to enrich his business acumen and cultivate his passion for helping others by spending 27 months in Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development program. During the program, he was mentored by a number of experienced Operators and staff members who helped shape him into the leader that he is today. In 2017, Steven was selected for his first store as Owner/Operator of the Thousand Oaks Blvd Chick-fil-A in California (now Westlake Village DTO), winning Symbol of Success the following year. In 2023, he and his family transitioned back home to Georgia making him the new Owner/Operator of the Sam Nunn Blvd Chick-fil-A in Perry.
